我国有糖尿病患者9 200万人,占总人口的9.8%。市场急需可平衡稳定血糖,对糖尿病治疗具有明显辅助作用的主食出现。抗性淀粉是健康人体中不能消化吸收的淀粉,对控制血糖、降低脂肪和预防肠道疾病具有重要作用。以我国高产水稻R7954为亲本,与源于美国稻的高抗性淀粉含量、米粒细长,但产量低、抗病性差的粳稻突变体RS102杂交,选育了功能性与高产优质兼顾的粳稻新品系,开发了适宜糖尿病人食用的第三代“宜糖米”。
