南粳46高产优质，培育15~20 d的秧龄、叶龄 3.5 叶、根盘结牢固、单株白根量10 条以上的壮秧，是其机插高产的基础；标准的移栽深度、株行距、单位面积基本苗数，是精确定量栽培的关键技术指标。根据产量目标，结合配方施肥原理，做好机插全生育期的肥水运筹，可以有效提高南粳46的有效分蘖率，促进籽粒灌浆结实，有效穗数达到21.7万/667 m2，结实率达89.4%，从而实现600 kg/667 m2左右的产量。
