随着社会经济的发展，人们的消费水平逐步提高，已从数量型向质量型转变，培育优质长粒型、营养型粳稻新品种是满足人们生活质量不断提高的需要。本研究主要是将长粒型基因及香味基因，以生物学技术转入优质高产的水稻品种之中，从而形成新一代含香味的长粒型新品种，优质长粒型新品种皖垦粳11036就是江苏（武进）水稻研究所在原中间材料优质的基础上育成的一个早熟晚粳新品种，具有优质、高产、稳产、抗病等特点，2018年通过安徽省品种审定。

Wankengeng 11036 is a new early-maturing late japonica variety bred by Jiangsu （Wujin） Rice Research Institute on the basis of high quality original intermediate materials. It has the characteristics of high quality, high yield, stable yield and disease resistance. It was approved by Anhui Provincial Crop Variety Appraisal Committee in 2018.
