The effects of different sowing rate and seedling raising methods on seedling growth, transplanting quality and yield of late season rice Tianyouhuazhan and Yongyou 9 were investigated in field experiment. The results indicated that 90 g/disc of sowing rate, “pot mixture” or “pot mixture plus yellow soil” can raise strong seedling and increase yield of machine-transplated rice.
