Abstract

Yongyou 8, bred by Ningbo Agricultural Science Research Institute of Zhejiang Province, is a hybrid late season japonica rice cultivar with big panicle, high yield potential, good quality, strong resistance to lodging. In 2012, the production demonstration of Yongyou 8 were carried in 11.3 hm2 of Jintan with machine transplanted and super high yield cultivation techniques, and gained average yield of 916.3 kg/667 m2.
