Resistance Performance of Japonica Hybrid F1 to Rice Stripe Virus Disease

Abstract

Rice stripe disease (RSD) is one of the most serious viral diseases in the japonica rice growing area of Huang-Huai and Yangtze River region in China. Five resistance varieties of shengdao105, shengdao16, shengdao813, shengdao134, daliang202 were crossed with seven susceptible varieties of wu21621, shengwunuo0146, S19, 1037, 8311 respectively, and 17 cross F1 combinations were obtained, and there resistance performances were investigated under field conditions. The results showed eight combinations perform resistant, while the other nine combinations perform susceptible to RSD, the infected hill rate were 14.3% ~50.0%, and infected tillers rate of these infected hills were 17.4%~75.0%.
