Chunyou 84 was developed by China National Rice Research Institute and Zhejiang Nongke Seed Industry CO., Ltd. Chunyou 84 belongs to three-line hybrid japonica rice, and the female parent of this combination is Chunjiang 16A, the male parent of this combination is C84. Chunyou 84 performed well in the field, showing stronger stem, higher lodging resistance, bigger panicles, higher spikelet fertility and good grain quality. Chunyou 84 was released by Zhejiang provincial crop variety appraisal committee in 2013 . The combination is suitable for cultivation in Zhejiang province as single cropping late rice. The growth characteristics and key cultivation techniques for high yield of Chunyou 84 were concluded in this study.
