Zhu 1S is an early indica thermo-sensitive genic male sterile （TGMS） rice line widely used in hybrid rice breeding. It was released by the Hunan Variety Approval Committee in 1999. Since its approval, Zhu1S combination occupies a large proportion in Hunan province regional test in early rice group. A large number of Zhu 1S combinations were registered and widely extended in Hunan and other southern provinces, and have been achieving great economic, social and ecological benefits. Based on the information collecting and sorting with Zhu 1S combinations in Hunan province regional test，the relationship between agronomic characteristics and yield  were analysed  in the paper in order to provide some references for breeding and cultivating high yield and good quality rice. It showed the yields of early and middle maturity varieties was significant negative correlation to rice quality and disease susceptible compared to late maturty varieties.
