Breeding and Application of Indica TGMS Line Zhi 5038S in Rice

Abstract

Zhi 5038S is an indica thermo-sensitive genic male sterile line, developed from the cross between Guangzhan 63S and Ai 3S. It shows the characteristics of stable sterility, good flowering behavior, high combining ability and outcrossing rate. It was approved by Zhejiang Provincial Crop Variety Appraisal Committee in 2020. The breeding process, characteristics and propagation technique were introduced in this article.
