
Analysis on Trend of Regional Trials and Production of Early-Season Rice in Zhejiang Province

Because of its characters of long-term storage and high commodity rates, early-season rice is an important support for food security in China, as well as in Zhejiang Province. Therefore, characteristics and trends of whole growth duration, yield and disease resistance were analyzed for the lines participating in the regional trials of early-season rice in Zhejiang Province in the past 18 years(2003—2020). The changes of planting area, yield per mu, total yield of the early-season rice and application of representative varieties were further dissected in Zhejiang Province. The trend of early-season rice production in Zhejiang Province was discussed and concluded, to further provide reference for breeding elite rice varieties and dvevloping early-season rice production.
