    Abstract ( )   PDF (1058KB) ( )
In this paper, the diversity and extensive distribution of Chinese traditional regional aromatic rice cultivar resources were summarized. Based on the analysis of the special ecological factors of the habitats such as metrological factors, soil factors and factors of irrigated water, the author thinks that the biodiversity of Chinese traditional regional aromatic rice cultivars were caused by 2 special factors of the special habitat: suitable temperature of the soil and the gas, especially the mean daily temperature during the filling stage of the aromatic rice should be 23℃; nutritional elements content of the irrigated water and paddy field and the ratio of them. In order to discover the mechanism of the aroma production by Chinese traditional regional aromatic rice, there are 2 new ideas to discuss:(1)Find out the key nutritional elements made the aroma production and find out the key stages and organs which affected by the key nutritional elements. (2)Certify the reasons for the enrichment of the key nutritional elements in the plant organs. Generally, there are 2 main reasons we should consider, one is the special biological characteristic of the rice cultivar, and the other is the characteristics of the soil and the nutritional elements content and ratio of the soil and irrigated water.

Using Xinei S and Zhongqiao A, two small grain recessive CMS lines, as female parent, promoting their flowering with CO2, cross with nine different large grain recovery respectively, and harvest hybrid seeds. Mix hybrid seeds with the seeds of large grain male parent, and separate which by a sieve of particular specification to study the efficiency of separation, aiming to provide theoretical basis and technical parameters for mixed planting and mixed income mechanized seed production techniques of hybrid rice. Meanwhile, the xenia effect of hybrid seeds (F0) and the hybrids vigor of F1 were also be analyzed and compared in this paper. The results showed that there were no obvious xenia effect in the shape of hybrid seeds. After the mixed small grain hybrid seeds and large grain male parent went through the sieve, the purities of hybrid seeds obtained were all over 97.5%, which can meet the need of production. The number of tiller per plant, and the number of filled grains per plant, and the weight per plant were all significantly higher than that of parent, that shows strong hybrids vigor.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (467KB) ( )
A pot experiment was carried out to solve the problem of a decrease in rice production due to oxygen-poor to rice root system, with shenyou 9586 as experiment material, through the pump aeration to increase the oxygen content of rice rhizosphere in day and in night. The results showed that two kinds of aerobic treatment had obvious effects, but the daytime pump aeration was more favorable to early tillering, photosynthesis and root activity, and A1 is the best treatment. Compared to CK, the tiller number and TTC reductive intensity of A1 treatment at the beginning tillering period, top tillering period and eventual tillering period were increased by 27.3%, 28.5%, 10.8% and 23.6%, 30.3%, 20.9%. The photosynthetic rate of A1 treatment at top tillering period was increased by 26.6% compared with CK. The higher number of tillers, photosynthetic rate and root activity were benefit to the late growth of rice.

The new standard “green food rice” was promulgated by the Ministry of Agriculture Department of China and have been implemented from January 1st, 2015. Based on the changes of many relative standards and our experimental results, many revisions had been made for the former standard. The main revisions were as follows: first, application scope was enlarged, the new standard can be used for germ rice, black rice, red rice and parboiled rice; second, the requirements for some characteristics, such as amylase content, were revised; finally, many characteristics were changed: as for rice quality characteristics, chalkiness degree was added while gel consistency and protein content were deleted; as for health indicators, the limitations of fluoride, Cyanide, fenthion, chlorpyrifos-methyl, BHC, DDT were deleted while pesticides such as imidacloprid was added. The implement of the new standard will have important effects on rice industry.

There were 3, 23, 10, 8, 6, and 54 varieties showed high resistant(HR), resistant(R), moderately resistant(MR), moderately susceptible(MS), susceptible(S) and high susceptible(HS) respectively by artificial inoculation in greenhouse, the overall R/S ratio was 34.6/65.4. There were 5, 8, 8, 16, 6 and 6 varieties showed HR, R, MR, MS, S and HS respectively by natural infection in nursery, the overall R/S ratio was 42.9/57.1. Both results showed that there were significant differences of resistance against rice false smut in 57 registered varieties in Guangdong, the overall R/S ratio was 19.3/80.7, varieties such as  Guangyan no.1, Huahang no.31, Jiafuzhan, Yuxiangyouzhan, Guangluai no.4, Qifozhan and Yuexiangzhan showed good resistance. The results will provide a basis for disease control and resistance breeding against rice false smut in Guangdong province.

Rice is an important grain crop in China. To do a good job of rice storage to ensure the national food security, reduce unnecessary economic loss and improve the quality of people's life is of great significance. Influencing factors of storage quality are fatty acid value, water content, temperature, rice storage conditions and processing method. The storage effect is the result of the combined effects of internal and external factors. The storage and processing of rice are easy to deterioration. This article describles the appearce, the theory of grain drying processes, dry technology and experiences of storage management in order to provide the theoretical guidance and reference for rice processing and storage.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (722KB) ( )
Nanchong city is one of the frequent and serious areas of rice blast in Sichuan Province. Comprehensive prevention and control technology of rice blast were studied and applied since 1997, and made significant achievements. The results showed that different varieties have different resistance to rice blast. The control effect of hybrid rice and glutinous rice intercropping to hybrid rice leaf blast were 45.23%~69.85%, to glutinous rice leaf blast were 61.69%~75.14%45%, to hybrid rice panicle blast were 46.03%~62.41%, to glutinous rice panicle blast were 65.58%~74.82%. Do a good job of infected rice straw and overwintering pathogen source treatment before sowing and transplanting would postpone the occurrence of rice blast. The occurrence degree of rice blast in health cultivation treatment was lighter 10%~30% than conventional cultivation or excessive application of nitrogen fertilizer treatment. The suitable agents and best control period were determined.

The initial stage, shock stage and occurrence degree of early rice sheath blight with hand transplanting, machine transplanting and direct seeding were studied. The results showed that the initial stage of sheath blight with hand transplanting was earlier 5 days than the other two planting patterns in the same sowing date; the shock stage of sheath blight with direct seeding was earlier 10~20 days than the other two planting patterns. The disease index of sheath blight performance: direct seeding > hand transplanting > machine transplanting, the disease index of direct seeding was significant heavier than that of the other two planting patterns at 15~20 d after the initial stage of sheath blight, the disease index of hand transplanting and machine transplanting had no significant difference. Therefore, we should pay more attention to the control of sheath blight and practice early in direct seeding early rice.

Black rice is the ancient and precious rice in China. Yangxian black rice has good color, flavor, taste, nutrition and health care function, and gained “the king of world rice” reputation. Yangxian black rice has a long history of cultivation and application, there are six major advantages: human geography advantage of development of organic black rice; nutrition and health advantages, prominent advantages of the propaganda with space breeding; basic advantage of the development of black rice production; the advantage of better benefits; the advantages of development and utilization. Production and utilization of black rice products would not only improving the nutritional value of black rice, but also exponentially increasing the added value, and gain obvious economic benefits. Therefore, development and utilization of Yangxian black rice has a very broad market prospects.
